After attending the Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center from Aug. 16 to Aug. 18, Derek Jeter took some time off with his daughters and asked for help as he got his face painted and posted on social media.
On Sunday, Jeter uploaded a couple of pictures of himself on Instagram with three red hearts painted on his face. The first picture showed two hearts drawn on each of his cheeks and one painted on the forehead. The second picture showed the word "Dada" scribbled on the top of his head.
"HELP!!!" Jeter wrote in his caption.
The former Yankees shortstop has four children with his wife, Hannah Jeter: daughters Bella Raine (6), Story Grey (4) and River Rose (2) and son Kaius Green, born in May 2023.
His beautiful relationship with his daughters came into the public eye when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022 and shared the stage with his family during his speech.
Derek Jeter expresses his views on first-ever trading card
Derek Jeter attended the Fanatics Fest a couple of days ago, where he launched Arena Club, an online marketplace focusing on trading cards. Following up on the conversation, the Hall-of-Famer also expressed his views on his first-ever photo featured on a trading card.
"I didn't like the picture. I was in my high school uniform and I didn't like the picture. I’m still not happy if I see it," he said. "Look, I’m on a card. But then you’re like, 'No, no.'"
Jeter reminisced about collecting trading cards with his parents, and that's where his passion for the business started. He shared his love for baseball cards with the founder of LegalZoom and The Honest Company, Brian Lee.
"I first met Brian Lee in 2014, right after I retired at an event in Las Vegas and (I knew of) his success as an entrepreneur," Jeter said. "We reconnected years later, and he told me about Arena Club."
Jeter also said that Patrick Mahomes' trading card would be the gold standard and be available among the grail cards pack.
At the Fanatics Fest, dubbed the "Comic Con of sports," Jeter also took part in a meetup with fans and signed some commodities for them.
