In Photos: Fernando Tatis Jr.'s mother Maria radiates vintage charm in square neck cocktail swing dress for 27th anniversary with MLB record holder

Not many relationships survive the silver jubilee, but Fernando Tatis Jr.'s parents have added two more years and counting. Tatis Jr. was born to Fernando Tatis Sr. and Maria, who celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on Nov. 27.

The San Diego Padres outfielder, who was born in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, is the son of Tatis Sr, who holds an MLB record of hitting two grand slams in the same inning. The former Cardinals slugger achieved the feat on April 23, 1999, against Dodgers ace Chan Ho Park. No one yet in MLB has been able to beat that record thus far.

On Monday, Maria shared photos from their 27th-anniversary celebrations. She shared photos with Tatis Sr, who wore a stylish black and white outfit. The shirt has a patterned design and was paired with black pants.

However, it was Maria who stole the limelight with her square-neck cocktail swing dress. She is dressed in a retro-inspired black dress, cinched at the waist with a white belt, paired with white gloves.

Maria not only stole the charm of the post with her vintage dress but also with a heartwarming caption, highlighting struggles in their relationship, while thanking the Lord for being with them throughout.

"On November 27th the Lord allowed us to celebrate 27 years of marriage🥰🥰," Maria wrote in caption (translated to English). "We have walked a long path full of: challenges, challenges, joys, sadness, health, illness, abundance, scarcity, uncertainty in some occasions, insecurities many times, but how beautiful that in the midst of all the easy or difficult seasons to reign and win love. 🙏

"I am grateful to the Lord for bringing you into my life, for staying in my life and because you will continue in my life."

She also hailed her husband with a sweet note:

Fernando Tatis Sr. and Maria are parents to four sons, namely Fernando Tatis Jr., Joshua, Elijah and Daniel, and one daughter named María.
