New York Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez celebrated his 49th birthday in style. He sailed across the Amalfi Coast in Italy with his girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro, daughters Natasha and Ella, mother Lourdes, and his friends. A-Rod took to his Instagram account to share an image from the trip where he was seen alongside Cordeiro.

The couple met after Rodriguez and his popstar fiancee Jennifer Lopez parted in April 2021. They confirmed the dating rumors as they shared a heartfelt holiday photo with both Natasha and Ella in December 2022.

Cordeiro, a fitness model and instructor from Windsor, Canada, graduated from Windsor University with a bachelor's degree in science and honors in nursing. Her most famous fitness program is JacFit, a six-week high-energy workout routine that helps people lose weight and provides the tools for a healthier lifestyle.

In an interview with The Post in April, Rodriguez expressed his gratitude for Cordeiro as, beyond their relationship, she has also helped him in with his health:

"Everything’s been going good [with us]. Thank God. She’s been a good influence with me. I’ve been working hard and trying to stay in shape, and continuing to try to copy some of her great work ethic and health and wellness practices."
"Just being consistent, which is what I’ve learned from her, has been very helpful. I used to eat steak probably eight out of 10 days, and now only one or two [days] out of 10 days. And then I do these 45-minute walks after dinner."

On July 27, Alex Rodriguez uploaded a series of images from his birthday trip and posted them on IG, along with the caption:

"Officially 49! Feeling better than I ever have and so thankful to be healthy and surrounded by amazing family and friends. Life moves pretty quick, remember to pause and enjoy."

Alex Rodriguez's bid for the Timberwolves

Since retiring in 2016, Alex Rodriguez has been enjoying life and diversifying his business ventures with A-Rod Corporation. He founded this company in 1996 and the holding organization started to make investments in 2003.

Rodriguez is a part-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and was spearheading a bid for another 40% of the franchise, alongside Marc Lore. The duo had already met two deadlines worth 20% each, however, owner Glen Taylor said that the deal was off after the group failed to make a payment deadline in March. Thus Taylor and his partners have a 60/40 majority at the present.

Rodriguez and Lore suggested that they might take legal action, with Rodriguez telling The Athletic in April:

“It is now personal. We can be in this (fight) for five years, ten years, whatever. We’re not going to let go.”

While everything has gone quiet in recent months, it will be interesting to see if Rodriguez and Lore can restart negotiations.
