A day after the Fall Classic ended, World Series MVP Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea, along with the kids, went to a feline adoption drive and brought home a kitten. They named it Champ.
Now Chelsea has shared some delightful moments of the lefty slugger cuddling and embracing Champ wholeheartedly. In the video, Freddie Freeman could be seen holding their new family pet close to his heart while relaxing on the couch. His wife captioned her social media story:
"I think he is okay with us getting Champ while he was napping now!"

Chelsea Freeman had also shared the heartfelt anecdote of how their son Charlie called up Freddie Freeman a day after the World Series triumph to seek permission for adopting a cat. The caption on her social media post read:
"Meet “Champ” … because why not adopt a kitten 3 days after the World Series 🤭. Freddie took a nap and woke up to a FaceTime from Charlie asking if he could get a cat 😁"
Freeman went against all the odds after he had sustained a sprain on his ankle. Moreover, the first baseman had been through a lot, as his son Maximus was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome right after the All-Star break, which rendered the kid losing all his motor abilities.
Early detection and effective treatment mean that Max is expected to make a full recovery soon. Despite all the hardships, Freddie stepped up to the plate for the Dodgers during the postseason and produced some amazing at-bats during the Fall Classic, tying the record with a whopping 12 RBIs and four home runs in five games against the Yankees.
Now Freeman is making the most of the offseason by spending time with his wife and kids relaxing at home and going to fun-filled events.
