Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve and his wife, Nina Altuve, jetted across the Atlantic to some of the most beautiful cities in Europe during the offseason. Nina shared some images of scenic spots from the Italian countryside and even posed with the Astros ace at a rustic winery.

Jose and Nina met in Venezuela when they were teenagers. The duo soon started dating and got married during his tryout with the Astros. He eventually signed with the ballclub in 2007.

The two are parents to two daughters who were born in 2016 and 2020.
Hailing from Maracay, Venezuela, the couple are also avid philanthropists and have teamed up with the Astros Foundation on several occasions to raise money for the needy.
Considered one of the best in his position, Jose Altuve has been playing for the Houston Astros since 2011 and signed a five-year extension for $125 million during the offseason.

After a three-month break, Altuve will head to Florida for spring training camp ahead of the 2025 MLB season.
