First baseman Josh Naylor had a fine 2024 season. He recorded a 30+ home run season, hitting the ball out of the park on 31 occasions, and was a key part of Stephen Vogt's team that reached the ALCS for the first time since 2016.
As Naylor fought tooth and nail on the pitch day-in-day-out, his girlfriend, Chantel Collado, was ever-present in the stands, cheering him on every step of the journey. With the couple set to tie the knot this offseason, Collado took to Instagram on Sunday to post a series of snaps from her bachelorette trip to the Dominican Republic.
"In my bride era," Chantel Collado captioned her Instagram post.
Though the pair initially crossed paths when they were both students at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School in Ontario, Canada, not much is known about how and when the couple initially started dating, as they kept their relationship private until announcing their engagement in June 2023.
Chanel Collado is currently a popular Latin singer-songwriter, with over 22,500 active listeners on the popular music streaming service Spotify. She also boasts over 33,000 followers on Instagram.
Josh Naylor's girlfriend Chantel Collado reflects on "most memorable season yet"
The 2024 season was definitely one that will live long in the memory of Josh Naylor and others associated with the Cleveland Guardians. The Guardians finished the season with a 92-69 record, winning their division, and Naylor earned his first-ever All-Star cap for his fine performances.
Looking back at the season, Naylor's girlfriend Chantel Collado took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message.
"Josh, I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments this year. You are the definition of perseverance, resilience, determination, discipline and each of those things have all led you to the most memorable season yet. Keep shining baby, I will always be by your side cheering you on with the rest of our families 🤍🥺, " Chantel Collado captioned her Instagram post.
Ultimately, the Guardians bowed out to eventual World Series runners-up the New York Yankees in the ALCS. Josh Naylor can now take his mind off baseball for the next few months, as he focuses on his wedding.
