Mariners star outfielder Julio Rodriguez's girlfriend, Jordyn Huitema, turned heads in a sleek little black dress for a fun-filled day out. Huitema is a successful forward for both the Canadian women's soccer team and the Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL.
She shared a couple of images on her Instagram account showcasing her casual outfit for the day out on the street. She added the caption:
"Out n about."
Jordyn Huitema started her professional career at the club level with the TSS FC Rovers in the Women's Premier Soccer League. Several prominent European clubs, including PSG Feminines, took note of her abilities within months of her tenure with the Rovers.
Paris St. Germain went on to sign the talented forward. Over the next four seasons, from 2019 to 2022, she made 45 appearances for the French giants and scored six goals. She then moved back to America to play in the highly competitive NWSL and signed a two-year contract with the Seattle Reign FC.
It is there that she met Julio Rodriguez for the first time, as the 23-year-old Dominican was putting his name on the map in Seattle. He had signed with the Mariners as an international free agent in 2017 but only made his big league debut in 2022.
Julio Rodriguez quickly became the face of the ballclub after back-to-back impressive seasons in the MLB, where he was also named an All-Star. However, the current season hasn't gone exactly to his liking, as he is hitting .264 with just 11 home runs, 38 RBIs, and.686 OPS.
Julio Rodriguez's girlfriend, Jordyn Huitema, attempted to defend Canada's gold medal in the Paris Olympics
Jordyn Huitema made the cut for the Canadian women's soccer team. The team headed for Paris to defend their gold medal from the Tokyo Olympics. Huitema shared a rousing message for her nation before the start of the Olympics.
"This country and team have given me my most memorable times in this sport. It’s time to go make some more❤️ thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality for the second time🙏🏼"
But things didn't fare well for the defending Olympic champions as they crashed out in the quarterfinals after losing to Germany on penalties, 4-2.
Now, Huitema is kicking back and enjoying the summer before she heads back to the field to train for the NWSL season.
