Livvy Dunne, the social media star and girlfriend of Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, had a special reason to celebrate. Her dog Roux turned one year old on Saturday, and Dunne, being a beloved dog mom, made sure to mark this important day in style.
Dunne posted a series of snaps on her Instagram story showing her love for her furry friend with adorable captions.
“Happy 1st birthday to my @thatgirlroux” and “ I love you queen @thatgirlroux” were the captions that Dunne wrote.
Dunne also wrote many captions that playfully acknowledged Roux as “a beautiful girl," “a sassy girl," “a model girl,” and lastly, “the most loveable and loyal girl.” In one of the pictures, Paul Skenes can also be seen playing with the dog.
Dunne regularly shares photos and videos of Roux's adventures on social media. Both Dunne and Paul Skenes adopted the dog in 2023 and announced the news through Roux’s Instagram account.
Dunne told People’s Magazine in April that it was Skenes’ idea to adopt a dog.
"It was more Paul that wanted to get a dog because he wanted someone to keep him company during spring training. And turns out we got the dog and I was not going to give it to Paul again," said Dunne as per Peoples Magazine.
This year, Livvy signed a multi-million-dollar NIL deal in May with the social media monetization platform Passes.
Livvy Dunne enjoys a relaxing day with Roux
Livvy Dunne shared a glimpse into her casual day with her beloved pup, Roux. Sporting a chic pendant and a comfy grey tank top, Dunne cheered on for her boyfriend Paul Skenes from her room in Pittsburgh during his outing against the Rays on Friday, June 21st.
Dunne enjoyed Pad Thai as her breakfast when she was joined by her furry friend Roux.
She even posted a hilarious picture of a clash between Roux and a frog and captioned it:
"Roux vs Frog who will win?"
Dunne has been dating Skenes since their time at LSU and has been often spotted at PNC Park cheering for her boyfriend.
On the baseball front, Skenes has had a good rookie season going on. He presently has a 4-0 record and an ERA of 2.14. He has struck out 61 batters this season and has a WHIP of 0.99.
