Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne was on last season's LSU gymnastics roster that went on to win the NCAA gymnastics championship, the first in the program's history, in April.
Though Dunne didn't make the score sheets in the national championship, she mainly performed on the floor exercise last season. LSU's star-studded roster also had Haleigh Bryant, Sierra Ballard, Chase Brock and Alyona Shchennikova, who'll return for their final season this fall.
On Friday, LSU Tigers teammates received their custom NCAA championship rings embossed with their names. Olivia Dunne was at the ceremony where the ring distribution took place. She wore a black off-shoulder dress and flaunted her ring in photos shared by the LSU gymnastics social handle.
Earlier in July, Olivia Dunne shared that she would be returning to play her fifth and final season with the LSU Tigers. She announced the news via a social media post.
"These past four years have changed my life," Dunne said in the video. "There’s something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There’s something about competing in front of 13,000 screaming Tiger fans. There’s something about being pushed by your coaches to do your very best. And there’s something about being part of a team that made school history."
"No matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there’s just something about LSU. And that’s why I’m here to say, I’m not Dunne yet. Here’s to Year Five, baby."
Olivia Dunne says Paul Skenes is also part of "The Money Game"
Apart from being a college gymnast, Olivia Dunne is also a social media star, boasting over five million followers on Instagram alone. She tops the charts and leads all female athletes in terms of NIL earnings.
Along with Angel Reese, Jayden Daniels and Flau'jae Johnson, Dunne is part of the new documentary "The Money Game," where she'll feature in the first episode talking about her experience navigating her early days in the NIL landscape after the NCAA changed the rules in 2021, allowing athletes to earn from commercial use of their name, image and likeness.
During her appearance on the Good Morning America Show to promote the docuseries, Dunne revealed that her beau, Paul Skenes will also feature in the docuseries.
"He was actually in Baton Rouge during the fall," Dunne told Good Morning America. "He's featured in the docuseries. He had a lot of fun filming it with me. He's excited to watch the finished product."
For those unaware, before being picked first overall in the 2023 MLB draft, Skenes played college baseball with the Tigers and also won the College World Series last year.
