When Phillies star Trea Turner first met his wife, Kristen Harabedian, the pair were students at North Carolina State University. Over a decade later, the pair are taking time to give thanks for all the positives that have since transpired.
On Sunday, Kristen took to Instagram to share some Thanksgiving snapshots of herself with her family. Included in the picture were Trea, and their two sons Beckham and Tatum. In the post, Kristen also showed off her baby bump. Earlier this month, Kristen announced on social media that she and her husband were expecting their third child, a girl.
At North Carolina State, Kristen was an esteemed gymnast while Trea played on the varsity baseball team. In 2014, Trea Turner was drafted by the Padres but did not make his MLB debut until one year later with the Washington Nationals. Following their 2018 marriage in DC, the pair purchased a home in the suburb of Arlington, Virginia.
In 2021, Trea Turner was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, sparking a cross-country move for his family. Months before his trade, Trea and Kristen had welcomed Beckham, their first son. The shortstop would go on to finish the 2021 season with an MLB-best 195 hits and won the NL batting title after sporting a .328 average.

By late 2022, it was time for the Turner family to uproot again, and move back east. This time, the move came on account of a massive 11-year deal worth $300 million between Trea Turner and the Philadelphia Phillies. After some struggles in 2023, Turner found his stride, hitting .295/.338/.469 with 21 home runs and 62 RBIs to win his third career All-Star nod.
Trea Turner stars in his very own Netflix feature
Amidst a slump, Turner stepped to the plate on August 4, 2023. Although the shortstop had been hitting just .235 to that point, the fans at Citizens Bank Park decided to give him a standing ovation, rather than boo him. In turn, Turner hit .337 from that point onwards. In October, a short Netflix documentary came out called "The Turnaround", highlighting the event.
Produced by Higher Ground Productions, company president Vinnie Malhotra said of the flick:
"A unique and rarely seen perspective into a story that will go down in baseball history."
A soon-to-be dad to three, Turner's offspring will have a unique way to look back on their father's career.
