Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith is going to the World Series a proud father of two, as his wife, Cara, shared pictures of the duo's newly-born second child on Wednesday.
Cara, who had shared the news of expecting their second child earlier this year, shared the pictures in a post on Instagram. She mentioned the date Oct. 22 in the caption, most likely their second child's date of birth.
The second picture in the post had Will and Cara's daughter, Charlotte Ann Smith, standing next to the newborn. Charlotte was born in 2022 and shares the same birthday month with her new sibling.
Smith and Cara got engaged in 2019 after the duo met at the University of Louisville, where the Dodgers catcher represented the Cardinals in college baseball. They got married a year later, in 2020, and welcomed their daughter in 2022.
Will Smith and Cara celebrated Charlotte's birthday on the beach
As the Dodgers continued their postseason journey, Will Smith and his wife Cara celebrated the second birthday of their daughter early this month.
Cara shared pictures of the three enjoying their day out on the beach to celebrate Charlotte's birthday.
Cara and Charlotte have been supporting the Dodgers catcher from the stands during his postseason stint and they were at the Dodger Stadium for the NLCS Game 6 clash against the New York Mets.
Will Smith smashed a two-run home run to extend the Dodgers' lead to 6-1 in the third inning. His two-run shot contributed to the teams' 10-5 win, clinching the NL pennant and securing the World Series.
Smith's wife and daughter celebrated the win with the two-time All-Star on the pitch. Their daughter also posed for a picture with the 'World Series 2024' cap.
Smith and the Dodgers face the New York Yankees in the Fall Classic with Game 1 scheduled for Friday. The Dodgers catcher will be hoping to add a second World Series ring with the Dodgers to his resume.
