On December 15, big leaguers Javier Baez of the Detroit Tigers and Jose Berrios of the Toronto Blue Jays organized a home run derby and celebrity softball game in their home country of Puerto Rico. The pair decided to conduct the events to raise funds for Báez’s "El Mago Foundation" and Berríos’ "Fundación La Makina" to aid underprivileged communities in the country.

Javier Baez's wife, Irmarie Marquez, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share some snaps from the event. She wore a black off-shoulder dress, which matched the black suits that her husband and sons Aiden and Adrian were wearing.

Plenty of major league stars also took part in the event, with the likes of Francisco Lindor, Kike Hernandez, Jurickson Profar, Edwin Díaz and Heliot Ramos also competing, per the MLB official website.

Jose Berrios also took to the mound to throw some pitches, but Baez was unable to take part in the action as he is currently still recovering from hip surgery.

Javier Baez's wife Irmarie shares adorable video as she and her husband put up Christmas Tree with their sons

With Christmas just around the corner, it appears the Baez family is getting into the holiday spirit as well. Detroit Tigers star Javier Baez's wife, Irmarie, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an adorable video, as she and her husband put up a Christmas Tree at home, along with their two sons Aiden and Adrian.

On the field, it was a season to forget for the 2016 World Series winner, who unfortunately had his season cut short after having to undergo hip surgery in September. He played 80 games, batting a career-worst .184 with six homers and 37 RBIs for the Tigers.

Though Baez is expected to make a return at some point in the 2025 season, it is likely he will not feature much, if at all, in the early months of the season, as the Tigers will aim to ease him back into the action to avoid the risk of a recurring injury.

For now, though, the 32-year-old can afford to take his mind off baseball, as he focuses instead on spending plenty of time with his wife and sons.
