On the field, Jose Ramirez and the Cleveland Guardians had a successful season. Ramirez ended the regular season hitting .279 with 39 home runs and 118 RBIs, helping the Guardians win their division, AL Central. Ramirez earned his sixth All-Star cap in 2024, while also winning his fifth Silver Slugger award and being named in the All-MLB First Team for the first time in his career.
Ramirez and the Guardians made it to the ALCS for the first time since they made it to the World Series back in 2016. However, a star-studded New York Yankees team made sure they would not go any further, as the likes of Juan Soto, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton got to the Guardians pitchers.
Though elimination one step away from the World Series would surely have left a bitter taste in the mouth, for now, Ramirez can look to get plenty of rest in the offseason, before getting ready to go again in 2025.
