In Pictures: Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne shares glimpses of her celebrating Thanksgiving with sister Julz

Paul Skenes' girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, like most in the United States, celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday. It is a day when family and friends can get together, eat a good meal, and enjoy each other's company.

That is no different at the Dunne household as they take their holiday festivities very seriously. Olivia posted a multitude of pictures celebrating Thanksgiving with her sister Julz.

"So what are u bringing to the table?" said Dunne.

Olivia shared pictures of her helping with the meal prep, and spending time with her sister, and her dog. The family gathered in, New Jersey, where Olivia was born and raised.

Paul Skenes had an impressive first season in the big leagues with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He started 23 games this past season compiling an 11-3 record with a 1.96 ERA and striking out 170 batters.

He was recently named National League's Rookie of the Year. Skenes became just the second Pittsburgh player to win the award after Jason Bay did so back in 2004.

Many people were proud of Skenes for his accomplishment, but you would be hard-pressed to find someone more proud than Olivia Dunne was. She shared her enthusiasm with her followers on Instagram.

"That was cool" said Dunne.

She surprised the hard-throwing righty with a cookie cake that looked delicious. Overall, it looked like a fun and rewarding night for the power couple.

Now, Skenes will look to keep at it after an impressive rookie run, but that should not be too difficult. He looked phenomenal last season, and he is still young enough to keep developing his game.

It would not surprise many if we see Skenes as the top MLB pitcher, hoisting a Cy Young trophy by this time next year.
