Ingrid Andress, a three-time Grammy-nominated country artist was tasked with singing the National Anthem on Monday ahead of the MLB Home Run Derby. Unless you have been living under a rock, you know it was a tough performance to sit through.
She was blasted by fans all across the world who tuned into the event and were left scratching their heads. It was as bad as it could get for the singer from Michigan.
After hearing all the complaints from the fans, Andress took to her X account, formerly known as Twitter, to get some things off her chest. She stated that she was intoxicated and would be checking into rehab.
"I'm not gonna bull***t y'all, I was drunk last night. I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I'll let y'all know how rehab is I hear it's super fun" - Andress.
Andress stated that she would be checking into a rehabilitation facility on Tuesday, the day of the All-Star Game. The country music singer likely did not think this would be how her week would go just a few days ago.
