Bryce Harper, the Philadelphia Phillies' All-Star designated hitter, is a Mormon as he belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A group of people who identify as Mormons practice Mormonism, the primary branch of the Latter-Day Saint movement that was started by Joseph Smith in the 1820s.
Harper has publicly expressed his faith that features abstinence from alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, and drugs. However, he has acknowledged drinking the occasional cup of coffee before games.
Back in 2012, Bryce Harper silenced a reporter when asked what his favorite beer was. The 31-year-old DH deemed the inquiry saying, "That's a clown question bro."

Philadelphia Phillies DH Bryce Harper married his high school sweetheart and former soccer player Kayla Harper, in 2016 at a temple. As active Mormons, they chose to exchange vows at the San Diego Church of Latter-day Saints Temple.
Back then, he was playing with the Washington Nationals before inking a 13-year, $330 million contract with the Phillies.
