On July 2, 2019, at the age of 16, he signed with the Yankees for a $5.1 million signing bonus. In the 2019–20 international class, Dominguez was regarded as a top prospect available to sign with an MLB team.
Owing to his promising performance, he was quickly promoted in the Yankees farm system and finally invited by the team to spring training as a non-roster player in 2023.
