New York Yankees icon Alex Rodriguez shared a video on Instagram where he shared his thoughts on the role fitness plays in business. Since retiring from his playing days in 2016, the 49-year-old has transitioned into a successful businessman and regularly shares life lessons on social media.

In an Instagram video that featured Rodriguez going through his workout routine, the former Yankee explained how fitness can help in business:

"Get in shape, that's the number one thing. I put it in front of making money, I really do. I think that being in shape gives you an advantage in business. Physical stature on a man when he walks into a room and his ability to look you in the eye, body language.
"It garners respect, and in my opinion, it can get you further in business. You could be a very rich guy and walk through the grocery store and nobody would know. You can't say that fitness. You get to carry that with you everywhere you go, it gives you an advantage."

During his playing days, Alex Rodriguez had founded A-Rod Corp, in 1995, an investment company that invests in several industries like sports, technology and real estate. Rodriguez is now the co-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Minnesota Lynx, as well as a strategic advisor to the Professional Fighters League.

It's clear that Alex Rodriguez has done very well as a businessman over the years. He often uses social media to share secrets of his success as well as impart life lessons. He puts a lot of emphasis on physical fitness and believes that it plays a huge role in every aspect of life.
