Despite much of the attention going to Shohei Ohtani in the World Series, it was Freddie Freeman who put the LA Dodgers on his back and helped guide them to victory. The veteran first baseman was a force at the plate throughout the series.

En route to the Dodgers' second World Series title in five seasons, Freeman posted a .300 batting average with four home runs and 10 RBIs in five games against the New York Yankees. While he was excellent throughout the series, none of his at-bats were bigger than his 10th-inning walk-off grand slam in Game 1.

While the moment will live on forever in LA Dodgers history, it will live on forever for a different reason for sports journalist Maeve Hushman. She has seen her name go viral on social media for getting a forearm tattoo inspired by Freeman's feat. Although it is her way of honoring the iconic moment, some fans were not impressed by the design.

"It looks horrible lol," - one fan posted.
"Top 3 worst tattoo i've ever seen tbh," another fan shared.
"Looks like it was drawn on a napkin, this is terrible," one fan said.

Social media can be an unkind place, especially when it comes to sports, and the Freddie Freeman-inspired tattoo received a lot of backlash. Over the years, sports tattoos have gained a lot of attention online, particularly those who have champion ink on them even before their team wins it all. Unfortunately for Maeve, her tattoo has garnered some hate online.

"Looks more like a geometry equation than a grand slam," a fan said.
"Look, I love tattoos(have tons of ink myself) and baseball is my favorite thing on earth. This is atrocious," a fan commented.
"Does not go hard in the slightest," one fan said.

Freddie Freeman drew comparisons to Kirk Gibson during his iconic grand slam

While the grand slam may have come at the most important moment of the season, there is yet another layer of the story that made it even more iconic. Freddie Freeman was struggling with an ankle sprain throughout the postseason, yet he was still able to come through in the clutch.

It didn't take long for it to be compared to Kirk Gibson's pinch-hit home run during the 1988 World Series. Gibson managed to hit a two-run walk-off home run in Game 1 while battling a hamstring and knee injury. Gibson was barely able to make his way around the basepaths, but he still cemented himself in the baseball history books.
