The Los Angeles Dodgers are in dire straits since their star pitcher Tyler Glasnow is suffering through a season-ending injury, and this could prove to be a major setback in the face of the upcoming postseason. Glasnow was already going through the recovery post the Tommy John surgery and now he's been sidelined again due to a sprained right elbow.
The Dodgers ace pitcher threw his last pitch of this season almost a week ago and he tried to throw warm-up pitches after that, however, his condition was much worse than he thought it to be. Glasnow shared about his current status with the media, saying:
"It’s just exhausting, I guess. I’ve just done this so many times," Glasnow said. "You go about it the first time and you try to find other ways to prevent it in the future. And then it happens again, and you try to find more ways to prevent it. It’s just kind of like over and over again. It’s extremely frustrating."

Tyler Glasnow, however, also took a better approach, focusing on the ways he could prevent such injuries from happening in the upcoming seasons. He shared that his elbow will be re-examined in the coming weeks as well.
"“Kind of searching for answers, and then a long-term plan that we’ll sit down and figure some stuff out,” he said.
Dave Roberts shared his views on the condition of Tyler Glasnow
The Dodgers manager is not content with losing their pitcher when the team is already shorthanded in the pitching department. Glasnow made 22 starts in this season with a career-high 3.49 ERA.
The Dodgers are strategizing their best ways to survive the postseason and are focusing on Tyler Glasnow to get the necessary rehabilitation care. Roberts has also come forward to express his disappointment with the injury update.
"It’s a big blow. Looking at what he meant for our ballclub, what he’s done for us, what we expected him to do, certainly there’s going to be a cost. But we have to move on and we will and we have capable people," he said.
Reportedly, the MRI report has shown that Tyler Glasnow might not need surgery for his elbow, but there's a chance that he might get sidelined for the rest of the remaining season.
