Dansby Swanson's wife, Mallory, is competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, representing the United States in women's soccer. The USWNT earned a spot in the gold medal game with Brazil with a 1-0 victory over Germany on Tuesday.
While Mallory and her team make the country proud, Swanson has been cheering his wife right all tournament. He even confessed getting emotional watching some of the games, telling Marquee Sports:
"I mean, the number of times she's made me cry over the last two weeks is pretty ridiculous. I'm just so proud of her and the journey she's been on ever since we got here together. It's pretty hard to put into words. God's done so much for her and is using her in so many beautiful ways, allowing her to shine His light every time she plays and with the people she comes across.
"Her joy and gratitude are so inspirational. I'm so thankful to be a part of it and to do all that I can to help her, whether from afar or whatever it is. I could go on for hours about it. It's just so amazing watching the person you love the most do something they love, and to do it with the beauty and grace that she does is pretty special."
