J.P. France, a Houston Astros starting pitcher, is working to get back onto the field in 2025. He underwent right shoulder surgery on July 1, and that surgery is expected to keep him out between 12-14 months. That has given France plenty of time to rehab his right shoulder, but he's also been able to spend time at home with his growing family.
France married Jessica McCain, a former MTV reality star, on Feb. 6, 2021, and the couple has a pair of children together. Jessica was along for the ride when France burst onto the scene in 2023, and she has been there with her husband through the recovery as well.
On Tuesday, Jessica France posted a link in her Instagram story that took readers to MLB.com. That article was a piece on J.P. France's road to recovery, and all signs are positive.
"So proud of you @thefrenchman28 and your faith in God through it all. Welcoming a new baby and rolling right into injury, surgery, to rehab and then moving back across the US to go home was tough but you leaned so hard on God I'd have never known you had a moment of stress or worry, I admire you!" Jessica captioned the photo.
J.P. France's wife, Jessica, proud of his parenting
J.P. France has not gotten much attention from MLB fans over the last few months as all of his work has been done at home. While France is doing well with his rehab, his wife, Jessica, is also proud of how great of a father he is.
Even before France suffered his injury during the 2024 season, Jessica was posting about the right-hander and his great work at home.
"How could I not be absolutely, ridiculously, insanely in love with you @thefrenchman28 you’re such an amazing daddy to our babies. We love you!" wrote Jessica in an Instagram post.
It will soon be time for J.P. France to report to the Houston Astros, but he has been taking care of his family business in the meantime.
