On Wednesday on Instagram, Milwaukee Brewers star Jackson Chourio's girlfriend Gabriela Alejandra posted a series of adorable snaps, as she and her boyfriend ushered in the new year along with their two furry friends, named Kai and Sofi.
"Happy New Year 🎄✨ I wish you all a lot of life and health, prosperity and love ❤️🩹 Thank you 2024 for this beautiful love you left me ❤️🩹✨ Kai and Sofi, and Sofi and Kai's parents 🥰" Gabriela Alejandra captioned her post in Spanish.
On the field, Jackson Chourio enjoyed a fantastic rookie campaign in the big leagues, ending the regular season with a .275 batting average, 21 home runs and 79 RBIs. His outstanding performances at the top of the Brewers' order were also recognized by the BBWAA, and Chourio was voted as the third-best rookie in the NL.
Chourio's performance played a key role in the Brewers finishing 93-69, winning the NL Central and qualifying for the postseason. Facing the New York Mets in a wild-card series though, their season came to a heartbreaking end, as a four-run Pete Alonso homer in the top of the ninth turned a 2-0 Brewers advantage on its head, eventually eliminating Chourio and his team from the playoffs.
