Orioles ace rookie Jackson Holliday celebrated his brother Ethan Holliday on Instagram by sharing a post by MLB Pipeline which projected Ethan Holliday as the No.1 overall pick in the 2025 MLB draft.
Jackson was himself the No. 1 overall pick, in the 2022 MLB draft. He was drafted straight out of Stillwater High School by the Baltimore Orioles and given a $8.19 million signing bonus.
Ethan Holliday aims to repeat his brother's feat in 2025. Ethan has great physicality, speed, and endurance. Although he struggled a little on the summer showcase circuit, the energetic infielder has been projected as the potential No. 1 pick for the 2025 MLB draft.
While Ethan has committed to play college baseball with the Oklahoma State University Cowboys, he might eventually turn down the offer if he gets selected as an early pick in the 2025 MLB draft. He wouldn't be the first Holliday to skip college to play in the major leagues.
Both Ethan and Jackson Holliday were trained by their father seven-time MLB All-Star Matt Holliday. Matt Holliday won a World Series in 2011 with the Cardinals. The trio used to train together and a video of their training showcases Matt and both his sons crushing home runs with a metallic bat.

The brothers share a close bond and Ethan was present front-row alongside Jackson Holliday during the 2022 MLB draft. The younger sibling even danced his heart out, during his brother's wedding to his longtime girlfriend Chloe Cox, in January.
Ethan Holliday shares his favorite memory from brother Jackson Holliday's wedding
Jackson Holliday got married to his girlfriend Chloe Holliday (née Cox) in Manalapan, Florida in January. Speaking about the wedding on the Sports Spectrum podcast, Ethan said:
"I don't know. The whole thing was pretty incredible just seeing all our friends and then the big day was awesome, but I don't know it was all pretty. Yeah I danced the whole time."
When asked about his dance moves, the junior Holliday had this to say:
"I don't know it was kind of a mix, it was kind of freestyle honestly I probably hurt my back a few times. Like I'm probably a little too big to be doing some of the moves I was doing, but it was great."
Fans will be waiting with bated breath to see if Ethan Holliday can repeat his brother Jackson Holliday's feat, by getting selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the MLB draft next year.
