Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday is one of many from his family who has star baseball talent. Ethan Holliday is still playing baseball at Stillwater (Oklahoma) High School, but he is going to be selected in the 2025 MLB draft. The two have been taught well by their father, Matt, who was a seven-time All-Star.
Ethan is dating Mary O'Neil, and the two high school sweethearts shared a special moment on Instagram on Sunday. The photos on O'Neil's Instagram story showed the two being romantic as they posed.
The two are all smiles in both of the screenshots.
Ethan, also an infielder, shares an uncanny resemblance to his brother, Jackson.
Jackson Holliday celebrates Ethan's milestone moment
Jackson Holliday had to deal with tremendous pressure and expectations after being selected by the Baltimore Orioles as the No. 1 draft pick in 2022. Jackson might have to share his experiences with his brother Ethan, as he's projected to go first in the 2025 draft.
Jackson signed an $8.91 million signing bonus with the Orioles. Ethan has committed to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but would turn that down for a similar signing bonus.
MLB Pipeline updated its draft projections in early December, putting Ethan Holliday as the No. 1 pick this summer. Jackson Holliday updated his Instagram story with the news and celebrated his little brother on the big achievement.
If Ethan were to be selected first, the hope is that he will have more success whenever he gets called up to the big leagues. Jackson had to be sent back to the minors during his rookie campaign and ended the season with a batting average below the .200 line.
The Holliday family continues to be front and center in the world of baseball, but Ethan Holliday is currently enjoying time with his high school girlfriend.
