Jackson Holliday's sister Gracyn Ivy teases cousin Brady's foodie nickname with preteen snap in adorable sweet 16 birthday shoutout

Jackson Holliday is enjoying a solid rookie season with the Baltimore Orioles. However, it was not always smooth sailing, as the 20-year-old struggled in his first stint at the highest level.

Still, Jackson Holliday has looked like a changed player since the Baltimore Orioles recalled him from Triple-A level on July 31.

Jackson is not the only one with athletic excellence in his family. Jackson's father Matt played big league baseball for 15 years, and his younger brother Ethan is projected to be a top-level pick in the 2025 MLB Draft.

Jackson Holliday's sister Gracyn Ivy is also quite the athlete and is a cheerleader in school.

On Monday, Gracyn posted a picture to her social media story wishing cousin Brady Holliday a happy sixteenth birthday, teasing him with his nickname, 'nugg'. It appears that Brady was quite the foodie as a child, often seen with chicken nuggets in his hand, and the name stuck.

Brady is also a talented baseball player. The freshman plays second baseman for the Stillwater High School team, along with Ethan Holliday, who is a senior and plays shortstop.

Jackson Holliday's mom talks about how Gracyn is "most competitive" in the family

On August 28, Jackson's parents Matt and Leslee Holliday appeared on the 'Pure Athlete' podcast. The couple talked about numerous topics including religion, sports and family. They also talked about their kids' various passions and how they try to support them as best they can.

Further, the pair talked about how their daughter Gracyn Ivy is a gifted athlete and "more competitive" than brothers Jackson, Ethan and Reed.

"She's (Gracyn) incredibly athletic, she's probably the most competitive kid we have. You play wiffle ball with her, forget about it. She just really hasn't had the opportunity to be completely honest with you because of all the moving around we've done and the boys doing their thing to play a team sport," Leslee Holliday claimed.

Watching their father playing baseball at the top level week in and week out, the Holliday kids have also been playing sports from an early age. Leslee talked about how she and Matt always encouraged the kids to be active, and how sports helped the kids to grow physically and mentally.

Every bit of that experience will come into play for Jackson Holliday in the next few months, as the rookie makes his first-ever foray into the playoffs with the Baltimore Orioles.
