The talented young shortstop for the San Diego Padres, Jackson Merrill and his girlfriend Sammie Quinn recently showed off their New Year celebrations at the Proper Music Festival.
This exciting event was held at San Diego's iconic Petco Park and included an impressive lineup of electronic music artists, including John Summit and Lane 8 for a New Year celebration performance.
On Tuesday, Merrill took to his Instagram handle to share his New Year celebration with his girlfriend, Sammie. The story showed the couple having a good time together at the Proper Music Festival during their New Year celebration.

On Oct. 28, Jackson Merrill used his Instagram account to share a story with his over 100K followers. The story featured him and his girlfriend Sammie Quinn present at an NBA game between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Suns defeated the Lakers as the game ended with a result that was in the favor of the Suns, 109-105.
Meanwhile, on the field, the San Diego Padres rookie had a great season. He played 156 games for the Padres in the 2024 season. He had a batting average of .292, an on-base percentage of .326 and a slugging percentage of .500. With 90 RBIs, Merrill managed to hit 24 home runs.
The great run of performances from Jackson Merrill ended up helping him win the 2024 Silver Slugger Award. Other than that, he was also nominated for the NL 2024 Rookie of the Year award due to his performance in the 2024 season.
Although Merrill did not win the Rookie of the Year award, he was very close to winning it as the Sporting News and MLBPA had already named him Rookie of the Year prior to MLB's official decision.
On Oct. 13, Merrill took to his IG handle to make a post regarding his rookie season with the Padres.
Sammie showed her support and appreciation for Merrill as she commented on his post.

After a great 2024 season, Merrill will look forward to carrying his great form of the 2024 season with him to the upcoming 2025 season.
