New York Yankees versatile infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. wasn't pleased with the latest Top-10 shortstop rankings from MLB Network. The list was prepared by The Shredder.

Baltimore Orioles star Gunnar Henderson topped the list followed by Corey Seager of the Texas Rangers and Francisco Lindor of the New York Mets in second and third place, respectively. Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals was fourth, while Dodgers star Mookie Betts claimed the fifth position.

Dansby Swanson of the Chicago Cubs came in sixth, with Carlos Correa of the Minnesota Twins taking seventh. Rising star Elly De La Cruz of the Cincinnati Reds earned the eighth spot, followed by Willy Adames of the Milwaukee Brewers in ninth and Trea Turner of the Philadelphia Phillies rounding up the top-10.

Chisholm, who plays second and third base, might have been displeased for not finding one of his teammates there, as he commented under the post:

"Wtf."

While initially it felt like Jazz Chisholm Jr. was rooting for himself in that rankings, according to FanSided, the Yankees star was lobbying for Anthony Volpe.

Volpe won the MLB Gold Glove award at shortstop in his rookie year after he made his debut in 2023. He was the first Yankee rookie to do so. That year, he batted .209 with .666 OPS, 21 home runs, 60 RBIs, 24 stolen bases and 23 doubles.

However, his batting numbers dipped in 2024, hitting .243, with .657 OPS, 12 home runs, 60 RBI and 28 stolen bases. Moreover, he was even slotted out of the leadoff spot in July, as he wasn't able to do justice to the position.

Volpe was better in the 2024 postseason, where he batted .287 and .815 OPS with five stolen bases. He even hit the grand slam in Game 4 of the World Series against the LA Dodgers, the only game Yankees won.

While he may not be seen as a top-10 talent in his position, he could turn it around with a good 2025 season.
