Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena's girlfriend, Julia Grosso, commented on soccer star Jordyn Huitema's latest Instagram post. Grosso and Huitema are teammates for the Canadian Women's national soccer team.

On Tuesday, Huitema posted two pictures of her on IG and captioned the post:

"Hi from my digi cam."

Grosso, who seems to be pretty good friends with Huitema, left the following comment on the 23-year-old's post:

"EXCUSE MEEEEEE."

Most recently, both Huitema and Grosso were in action for the Canadian women's soccer team against the reigning world champions, Spain. Huitema started the match on the left wing, while Grosso came on from the bench just after the second half. The Canadians showed plenty of quality throughout the game, scoring first to take the lead before Spain scored late to salvage a draw.

Huitema and Grosso play for the Seattle Reign and Chicago Red Stars respectively.

Jeremy Pena and his girlfriend Julia Grosso enjoy tropical vacation before New Year's Eve

On Dec. 30, Julia Grosso posted pictures of her and her boyfriend, Jeremy Pena, on Instagram. The couple enjoyed a tropical vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands and then visited Pena's home country, the Dominican Republic.

"ESTCDOCA," Grosso captioned her post.

Pena had a decent year with the Houston Astros, finishing the regular season with a .266 batting average, 15 home runs and 70 RBIs. Along with his contributions with the bat, Pena was his usual reliable self in defensive situations, playing a key role in his team's win in the AL West.

Having already won the World Series once in 2022, and going on to be named the MVP of the showpiece event, Pena would have headed into the postseason hoping to do the same once again in 2024. However, things came to a disappointing end this time around, as a stubborn Detroit Tigers team upset the Astros, knocking them out in the very first playoff series they played.
