When it comes to baseball talent, it looks like the Kelly family is keeping it all in the genes. Free agent relief pitcher Joe Kelly would be proud knowing his son Knox finally paid heed to what he said and translated through his performance on the field.

On Saturday, Kelly's wife Ashley shared heartwarming snaps of their son, Knox, honing his skills. From pitching on the mound to making big defensive plays, Knox is proving he’s ready to follow in his two-time World Series champion dad’s footsteps—starting young. In a series of social media stories, Ashley couldn’t hold back her pride.

“Proud of him for putting in work with Dad (and actually starting to listen to him 😂),” she wrote.

The stories captured Knox in action, demonstrating excellent pitching mechanics. One photo showed him mid-pitch, his focus unshaken as he executed his delivery. Another highlight featured Knox making a catch in right field, followed by a rocket throw to home plate to stop the opposing team in its tracks.

Ashley captioned it:

“Knox with the catch in RF & then cannon to catcher for pickle time out 🙌.”
