The families of Dodgers teammates Will Smith and Joe Kelly reunited on Sunday upon special request from the latter's wife. After finishing off their two-day trip to Louisville, Smith and his wife Cara were invited to attend Kelly's son Knox's Little League Game by Ashley (wife of Kelly) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The family attended a youth baseball game and Ashley documented the day with snapshots of friends, family and a funny exchange between her son and Dodgers catcher Smith.
"Loved that I could call this girly to bring in her crew to cheer on our Knox," Ashley wrote in her story.
Ashley added how Knox recognized Smith at the game, fist-bumped him, and had a hilarious interaction with the catcher.
"Hey man, I haven’t seen YOU in a while," Knox said to Smith.
Cara also acknowledged Ashley's request asking her to attend Knox's ball game.
"Ashley tells me to come to a Little League game... I go to a Little League game," she wrote.
On Friday, Will Smith and Cara attended her friend's baby shower and then attended the Louisville Baseball Night Dinner. Smith played college baseball for the Cardinals before getting drafted.
Joe Kelly's wife Ashley reveals Knox's favorite artist
On the eve of the Little League game, Joe Kelly and his family attended the Michael Jackson One show at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Ashely posted a photo from the show and revealed that the late pop star was one of Knox's favorite artists.
"One of Knox's favorite artists is Michael Jackson. 'I wish I could've seen Michael Jackson perform,' is something he has mentioned multiple times to us. @mjonely was AMAZING!! We LOVED every minute of it!!!" she wrote in her story.
On the baseball front, Joe Kelly is currently a free agent and is coming off a season marred with injuries. He pitched in 35 games only, posting a 1–1 record, 4.78 ERA and 35 strikeouts. Moreover, the reliever has made it clear that he will only return if the Dodgers re-sign him. If not, he'll retire.
