While Jonathan India impresses on the baseball field, when it's offseason, it's his wife Daniella Garcia's turn to take the spotlight with her equestrian skills. Garcia has been participating in the ongoing Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), which runs for 13 weeks between January and March in Wellington, Florida.
The event encompasses several competitions and is hailed as the "largest and longest-running equestrian competition in the world."
On Friday, Garcia shared glimpses from her recent show-jumping performance on social media. Competing in her first 1.10-meter class at the prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), Daniella rode a horse named Oakley B Van Speyhoeve, affectionately called "Oakley boy."
In the photos she shared on Instagram, Daniella was seen riding a white horse with a caption that read:
"First 1.10 class today with my Oakley boy."
Daniella Garica celebrates Jonathan India's 28th birthday with heartwarming family photo
Jonathan India and Daniella Garcia expanded their family after welcoming their daughter Adalina in Jan. 2024. The family celebrated their many firsts with their newborn daughter recently, including celebrating India's first birthday with her after the Kansas City Royals infielder turned 28 on Dec. 15.
To commemorate the occasion, Daniella shared candid pictures of the family in a post on Instagram. In the first photo, both can be seen kissing their daughter's forehead. The other photos included previously unseen intimate family moments with their daughter in the center. Daniella shared the post with a caption that read:
"Happy birthday to the love of my life, bestest friend and dad to our sweet baby Adalina. I love you! 28 never looked better."
On the baseball front, Jonathan India, who was selected No. 5 by the Cincinnati Reds in 2018 before winning the 2021 NL Rookie of the Year, was dealt by the club after four seasons.
After slashing .248/.357/.392 with 15 home runs, 58 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 2024, the Reds traded him to the Royals in exchange for Brady Singer. Joey Wiemer also went to the Royals as part of the same trade.
"Cincinnati will always have a special place in my family and I’s heart. Lastly, thank you to my wife and daughter, Adalina, for always supporting me through our years in Cincinnati," India wrote in his farewell post.
