Jose Altuve started the third-inning juggernaut for the Houston Astros in Friday's game against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. Altuve homered a 382-foot moonshot off Orioles starter Cade Povich to start in what would be a four-run inning to give the Astros an early 4-1 lead.

However, one young fan called it before Altuve had even stepped at the plate in the third inning. Christopher Disalvo, a 4-foot-4 player from Long Island, made a special request to Altuve when he was on the batting deck.

“I asked him, ‘If you hit a home run, can I have your bat?’” Disalvo said.

So when Altuve finished rounding off the bases after his two-run homer, he called Disalvo and gifted him his orange bat, through which he crushed the ball.

While Disalvo just had his "happiest moment of life” moment, his dad, Chris Sr., was shocked and amazed to learn the gift his son received from the Astros star.

“I was in the bathroom,” Chris Sr. said. “I didn’t even see it. I come back and I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me?’”

Chris Disalvo, a middle infielder, and his dad, Chris Sr., who is also the coach of his Little League team, are in Baltimore to participate in the Ripken Experience Tournament, with a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday.

Jose Altuve's Astros couldn't hang on to early lead

The Houston Astros started on a high note, taking an early 4-1 lead in the game. However, the Astros bullpen faltered as they went on to lose the contest 7-5, courtesy of a disastrous eighth inning by Bryan Abreu.

Manager Joe Espada called out Abreu from the bullpen to pitch the eighth inning and sustain a 5-2 lead. However, he first allowed back-to-back singles and a grounder on fielder's choice to load the bases for Anthony Santander. The Orioles slugger pulled out his levers and smoked the high-rising fastball to the right-center field stands for a grand slam.

This turned the game on its head, as it was now the Orioles who took a 6-5 lead for the first time in the game. They added one more run on Ramon Urias' triple to extend their lead to 7-5.

Seranthony Dominguez, the Orioles closer, pitched a clean inning to seal the deal for the home team.
