Jose Altuve's wife Neena celebrates daughter Mia's birthday with a heartwarming message

Houston Astros' second baseman, Jose Altuve, has two daughters with his wife Neena. They welcomed their first daughter, Melanie Andrea, in November 2016 and their second daughter, Mia, on Jan. 7, 2020. The latter turned five years older on Tuesday as the couple celebrated her birthday at their Houston residence.

Neena shared a heartwarming photo on her Instagram story of Mia holding the family's dog, Bruni, along with a sweet message in Spanish:

"Gracias a Dios por tu vida, tu alegría e inteligencia" (Thank God for your life, your joy, and intelligence).

Neena refers to Mia as:

"La mejor amiga de Bruni" (Bruni's best friend).

Jose Altuve's wife Neena Altuve's "Gracias 2024" post with photos of her two daughters

For the first time in the last seven seasons, the Houston Astros couldn't win a series in the postseason. The Detroit Tigers crushed Jose Altuve's team in the postseason, packing their bags earlier than many expected.

However, this also meant Altuve got to spend extra family time, as he took his family on a European trip this offseason. The couple visited several places, including iconic landmarks, especially in France and Italy.

They returned home before 2024 came to an end. On New Year's Eve, Neena posted a heartwarming post recapping the family year in photos.

"Gracias 2024. Agradezco los momentos buenos y los no tanto… esta familia va a seguir soñando ✨ (Thank you 2024 I appreciate the good times and the not so much.. this family is going to keep dreaming ✨" she captioned the post.

The photos Neena shared were mostly of their two daughters and how they spent the last year. Some photos were from their time at the beach and some were at Minute Maid Park supporting Altuve.

Unlike his fellow teammates like Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve doesn't have to worry about either the arbitration or the free agency. The Astros locked their franchise star ahead of the 2024 season when both parties agreed to a five-year, $125 million contract that covers 2025-29.
