Just like in past seasons, Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve aimed to help his team reach the World Series in 2024. This time, however, the Astros' postseason run was short-lived, ending with a loss in the AL Wild Card Series.
The Astros were swept 2-0 by the Detroit Tigers, shattering their dreams of clinching another World Series title. Despite their early postseason exit, the team delivered a solid performance during the regular season, finishing 88-73, with Altuve having a stellar 2024 campaign.
Now, as the offseason nears its end, Altuve is spending quality time with his family while looking ahead to 2025. His wife, Neena Altuve, reflected on the past year as it draws to a close, posting a series of pictures featuring her family, writing in the caption on Monday on Instagram:

The post also included pictures of the couple’s daughters: their eldest, Melanie Andrea, born in November 2016, and their younger daughter, born in 2020, whose name has not been disclosed. One photo captured the two girls watching their father during one of his games.
The series ended with one snapshot of Jose Altuve carrying his younger daughter in his arms while holding the hand of his elder daughter Melanie.

Jose Altuve is a longtime Houston Astros second baseman, having been with the team since his major league debut in 2011. Recently, the Astros shared an appreciation post about their superstar, writing in the caption:

The post featured several images of the two-time World Series champion.
Altuve's wife, Neena, was overjoyed upon seeing the post and reacted by commenting:

Jose Altuve and his wife, Neena, have been married since 2006.
During the 2024 season, Altuve added to his career by earning his ninth All-Star selection and winning his seventh Silver Slugger Award.
