New Year's Eve was extra special for Cincinnati Reds catcher Jose Trevino and his wife, Markie. Exactly two years ago, the couple married in the presence of loved ones, sharing a kiss, which Trevino celebrates to date.

Since their wedding on the last day of 2022, a lot has changed in Trevino's life. He was with the New York Yankees at the time. But just 11 days ahead of his second wedding anniversary, he was traded to the Reds for Fernando Cruz and Alex Jackson.

On Tuesday, the couple celebrated their second anniversary with a heartwarming post. Markie shared three photos on the post, two of which were from their wedding. The other was the welcoming of 2025 in the backdrop of celebrations. Beneath a display of fireworks, both Markie and Jose can be seen wearing festive New Year’s hats.

Markie penned a heartfelt caption, which read:

"Happy Anniversary to my forever New Year’s kiss! 7 years together, 2 years married, 2 beautiful children in between all of it. So many great moments spent together. Here’s to a lifetime of moments spent and memories made by each other's side."

Jose Trevino and Markie take their kids on adventure

Amid an intense season, Jose Trevino made sure to take some time off and spend time with his two kids: Josiah and Jio. In August, Trevino posted the family's adventure at Urban Air Adventure Park.

He shared that his elder son Josiah enjoyed the trampoline and arcade games, while his younger son Jio loved the Warriors course.

"Spent a recent off day with the family for some fun at Urban Air Adventure Park – where there are activities for all sizes and ages – Josiah loved the trampolines and arcade games and Jio was a fan of the Warrior Course! Always love some family time, and before the summer ends," he wrote in caption.

Jose Trevino played 74 games last season, hitting .215/.288/.354 with eight home runs and 28 RBIs. He made a trip to the World Series with the Yankees but lost in five games.

Now with the Reds, Trevino has a young team and should be a veteran voice inside the locker room.
