Josh Hader's wife Maria captures adorable moment of son Lucas playing slide with Alex Bregman's toddler Knox

Houston Astros closer Josh Hader and free agent third baseman Alex Bregman played together last season. The closer signed with the club ahead of the 2024 season.

When his family, which includes his wife Maria and son Lucas, arrived at the Astros' spring training facility in Florida, they instantly hit with Bregman's, which includes his wife Reagan and two-year old Knox.

The bond has only grown since, as both mothers often share a playful friendship between Lucas and Knox. The latest photo from Maria further solidified that.

On Sunday, Maria captured a heartwarming moment of the two toddlers enjoying their time at a playground. The two little ones can be seen sliding down side-by-side with joyful expressions.

"The hair at the end ☠️ that dry AZ air," Maria wrote in the caption.

Arizona’s dry weather left both boys with static-filled hair as they reached the bottom of the slide.

The wholesome interaction isn’t the first time the Hader and Bregman families have been spotted enjoying quality moments. During the regular season, they were spotted attending games from the suits of Minute Maid Park.

Meanwhile, there's no knowing whether Alex Bregman will re-sign with the Astros. At the moment, the way things have unfolded this offseason, a chance to head back looks highly unlikely.

Josh Hader and Maria gives back to Houston community after his first season

After completing his first season with the Houston Astros, Josh Hader and his wife, Maria, wasted no time in giving back to the local community. On Dec. 3, the couple hosted the Hader’s Heart Toy Drive at Minute Maid Park, an event aimed at bringing holiday joy to thousands of underprivileged children across Houston.

Partnering with Bear Houston, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting at-risk, abused and neglected children, the Haders encouraged fans to drop off toy donations during the four-hour event.

The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, with Maria and Josh engaging with attendees and volunteers. Bear Houston later shared that the toy drive would help provide Christmas gifts for over 26,000 children.

Josh Hader is in Houston for at least four more years after signing a five-year, $95 million deal last winter.
