With another long and arduous major league season done and dusted, it appears closing pitcher Josh Hader and his wife, Maria, are making the most of the downtime. On Wednesday, the pair attended superstar singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake's concert at Houston's Toyota Center.
Maria Hader later took to Instagram, posting a series of videos to give fans a sneak peek into the fun-filled evening. As Timberlake performed his hit "Suit & Tie," Maria Hader captioned one of her stories
"This is for all my 2013 senior party people lol IYKYK (if you know you know)."
Josh Hader first met his future wife in Corpus Christi, Texas, when he was playing for the Corpus Christi Hooks, the double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. The pair dated for three years before announcing their engagement in November of 2018, going on to tie the knot the following year. The couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary this year and have a 2-year-old son together — Lucas.
Josh Hader's and wife Maria spread the holiday cheer, host "Hader's Heart Toy Drive" in Houston
Josh Hader and his wife Maria are doing their bit to help spread the holiday cheer, hosting the "Hader's Heart Toy Drive" at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday, December 3. The initiative is in collaboration with the BEAR Foundation in Houston, which is a non-profit that works to provide help for at-risk and CPS-involved children.
The Astros took to Instagram to post about Haders' philanthropic initiative on Monday.
On the pitch, Josh Hader had a strong season as the Astros' closer, finishing the season with a 3.80 ERA and 105 strikeouts. For now, the 30-year-old can afford to take his mind off the field and focus on spending plenty of quality time with his wife and young son.
The focus shifts back to baseball in the new year, with spring training typically starting in early February. Hader and co. will be looking to potentially go further into the playoffs in 2025, having fallen to the Detroit Tigers at the first postseason hurdle in the recently concluded campaign.
