On Dec. 22, reports emerged of the Arizona Diamondbacks having acquired first baseman Josh Naylor. Per sources, Naylor made his way to Chase Field in a deal that sent right-handed pitcher Slade Cecconi the other way.
On Saturday, Naylor took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message of thanks to the Cleveland Guardians organization, along with his former coaches, teammates and fans.

Reacting to Naylor's post, his partner, Chantel Collado, left a comment of support, as the couple looks forward to new beginnings in Phoenix.
"A true leader on and off the field. Proud of your accomplishments and excited for your next chapter 🤍 I love you >☁️," Chantel Collado commented.

Per reports, both Naylor and Collado studied at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School in Ontario, which is where they first met each other. The couple eventually began dating, going on to announce their engagement in November 2023.
Josh Naylor's fiancee Chantel Collado enjoys picture-perfect bridal shower with friends and family
Having announced their engagement last year, it appears Josh Naylor and Chantel Collado are planning on getting married this offseason. On Friday, Collado took to Instagram to upload a series of snaps along with friends and family, as she enjoyed a picture-perfect bridal shower.
"A bridal shower of my dreams ✨🥺," Chantel Collado captioned her Instagram post.
On the field, Josh Naylor enjoyed arguably his best-ever major league campaign, hitting 31 home runs and 108 RBIs in the regular season, en route to an AL Central division title. The 27-year-old's solid performances deservedly earned him his first-ever All-Star cap.
Naylor and his team also enjoyed a strong run in the postseason, making it as far as the ALCS before they ultimately met their match in the New York Yankees.
Elimination after coming within touching distance of a spot in the World Series will be disappointing. But Naylor and the Guardians can be proud of the great baseball they played throughout the 2024 season.
Having now made the move over to Chase Field, Josh Naylor will be slotting into the already destructive D-backs batting order, featuring the likes of Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll. This may be the perfect place for the first baseman to take his offensive output to the next level.
