Padres star outfielder Juan Soto reserved high praise for his team walking into the 2023 season, acknowledging that he's never been on a team this talented, ever.

Quizzed by MLB Network analyst Yonder Alonso during spring training about what it meant to have a WBC-like team in San Diego, Soto's response was quite simple to be fair.
With the likes of Fernando Tatis Jr, Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, and Juan Soto all in the same dressing room, you are bound to expect fireworks.
He said:
"I've never been on a team this talented"
Soto in particular is looking forward to seeing his teammate and star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. return to the fold after facing suspension for a failed drug test in 2022.
He continued:
"It's going to be fun. We couldn't wait to see Tatis coming back and show us what he got. It's just amazing, I think we're going to have a lot of fun," Soto concluded.

As a new season dawns on the San Diego Padres, expectations from everybody rooting for them are huge. The team looks like serious contenders to push for a title charge, and only time will tell how they fare.
Juan Soto is a three-time Silver Slugger Awardee
Soto is an outfielder for the San Diego Padres in MLB and has also played for the Washington Nationals. He signed with the Nationals as a free agent in 2015 and made his debut in 2018.
He won the biggest coup of them all with the Nationals in 2019, claiming the World Series title and played an instrumental role in their championship victory. He is a two-time All-Star and three-time Silver Slugger awardee.
