Rumors were swirling following Juan Soto's decision to sign with the New York Mets. People leaned into the narrative that the New York Yankees mistreated his family, which was a reason for his decision not to re-sign.

However, Soto put those rumors to bed during a recent interview with Grandes en los Deportes. He stated that nobody mistreated his family and that the club is a top-tier organization.

He also stated that his experience in the Bronx was great. He had no bad feelings toward the Yanks while he was making his decision in free agency.

Instead, he chose to sign with the club that gave him more perks. Unlike the Yankees, the Mets were more than willing to oblige to Soto's request for access to a suite at the stadium.

"What isn't a lie is that Juan Soto didn't truly want to be a NYY because IF he did he would still be one! So bygones pal!" one fan posted.
"Lmfao thank god we can finally stop this nonsense" said another.
"Now let's shut up and move on" said another.

Some Bronx Bombers fans are happy to hear it was all a lie. They are ready to move on from this and see their club back to signing top free-agent players to help them during the upcoming season.

"I don't care about this dude no more let's focus on the future" said another.
"Can we move on?" said another.
"We're still booing you" said another.

Other fans certainly let their feelings be known. It is safe to say that Soto likely will not get the most welcomed return back to the Bronx when these two clubs match up against each other in 2025.

Juan Soto should have no problems fitting into the Mets' lineup

The Mets are coming off a successful 2024 campaign. They had very little trouble getting the offense going, scoring 768 runs which ranked them seventh across MLB.

For Juan Soto, he is coming off a career year at the plate. In 157 regular season games, the slugger hit .288/.419/.569 with a career-high 41 home runs and 109 runs batted in.

For a club that had a hot offense last season, they are adding one of the best bats in the game. Soto could be the player that finally pushes the team over the hump.
