With the MLB offseason progressing, players are having a decent time away from the game. That's true for Seattle Mariners star Julio Rodriguez as he showed his physique in a casual beach outing in his home country, the Dominican Republic while enjoying baseball.

On Tuesday, MLB's Instagram handle shared pictures of Rodriguez enjoying his time off, and J-Rod shared the post on his IG handle with his 492,000 followers.

"A beach day in 🇩🇴 with Julio," the MLB post's caption read.

The last picture of the post is unique as compared to Rodriguez's beach trip as he posed with a Macaw sitting on his head.

Many athletes who hail from humble backgrounds try to stay grounded. Julio Rodriguez is no exception as the purpose of his No Limits Foundation is to help underprivileged youth in the Dominican Republic, Seattle and around the world. This is done through providing education, sport and mentorship.

Rodriguez recently returned to his hometown of Loma de Cabrera in the Dominican Republic to celebrate Three Kings Day on Jan. 6 and the donation of toys and baseball equipment to children through his foundation.

MLB posted several videos of Julio Rodriguez, including a couple of J-Rod interacting with basketball players and fans.

The caption of the post read: "Julio Rodríguez returned to his hometown of Loma de Cabrera in the Dominican Republic this week to celebrate Three Kings Day and donate toys and baseball gear to over 1,000 boys and girls through his No Limits Foundation. ❤️"
"Additionally, he held a baseball and softball clinic, a basketball clinic and oversaw the inauguration of the new Culture Center in Loma de Cabrera — where Vic Blends offered free haircuts."

Meanwhile, apart from his philanthropic efforts, Julio Rodriguez had a difficult 2024 season with the Seattle Mariners as compared to his previous seasons. He slashed .273/.325/.409 with 20 home runs, 68 RBIs and 24 stolen bases in 143 games.

As spring training approaches, Rodriguez is expected to return to serious training soon and make a comeback.
