Former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp was in the clubhouse on Friday, catching up with former teammates, including Walker Buehler. The latter made his debut a year before Kemp returned to the Dodgers for his second stint in 2018.

Buehler, who was present there when Kemp arrived, embraced him. He then showed Kemp the picture of his daughter, Finley Wren Buehler. Kemp teased Buehler on seeing the picture.

"This my guy right here (Walker Buehler), man. I miss y'all, man. What's up, man How's the baby? Everybody good? This guy. I can't imagine you being Daddy," Kemp said.
"I'm the best dad there is," Buehler replied.
"You think so? That shit's hard. Being a good daddy, that's hard. Dang. Look, just like you, bro. Ugly. I'm just playing. That was beautiful, bro," Kemp added

Earlier this January, Walker Buehler and his wife, McKenzie Marcinek, welcomed their first child, daughter Finley. The couple, who have been married since Dec. 2021, shared their daughter's picture on social media.

Matt Kemp signs a one-day deal to retire with Dodgers

The beloved outfielder of Chavez Ravine last played in an MLB game with the Colorado Rockies in 2020. Over the Alumni Weekend celebration at Dodger Stadium, the Dodgers signed Matt Kemp to a one-day deal and etched his name in Dodgers' history.

Ahead of the series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Dodgers celebrated "Matt Kemp Day," where the former three-time All-Star pitched the ceremonial first pitch to start the day.

Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts felicitated Kemp with his No. 27 jersey, the last time he would be wearing it.

“I’m grateful to be able to put this jersey on,” Kemp said at the ceremony. “This jersey is special. We were at a luncheon yesterday and the older guys … before me were talking about how special it is to put on this jersey and how they become a more great player putting on this jersey. It’s a different energy here. It’s just something that you can’t really explain.”

10 of Matt Kemp's 15 seasons in the major leagues were with the Dodgers. Moreover, he is the only player in the club's history to have hit 200 home runs and 150 bases. His best season came in 2011 when he finished second to Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun in NL MVP voting. He averaged .324 with 39 home runs, 126 RBIs and 40 stolen bases that year.
