Japanese-born New York Mets pitcher Kodai Senga has been making headlines ever since he signed a 5-year, $75 million contract with the club on December 17, 2022.

His personalized baseball glove is presently capturing the attention of MLB fans. On April 2, 2023, he donned it against the Miami Marlins in his MLB debut.

Senga's robin blue glove, made by the Japanese ball glove maker Zett, has a ghost clutching a fork-like trident on the exterior part of the webbing. Alongside, Senga's name and number are written on the side in the letters "S3NG4" in a premium-looking combination of orange and black.

Apparently, Kodai went with the robin-blue version of all three versions (Red & Black) tailor-made by Zett.

"It was too cool." - Kodai Senga

Senga won his first game in the majors, a 5-1 Mets triumph, after throwing 5 1/3 innings, allowing just one run, and striking out eight Marlins players at LoanDepot Park on Sunday.

During the 2023 Spring Training, New York Mets right-handed pitcher Kodai Senga stunned the MLB world with his "ghost fork(ball)" which is a fastball that averages 95-96 mph (tops out at 100 mph with a three-quarters delivery).

He haunted the Miami Marlins in his MLB debut by throwing his hallmark fastball at them.

In all, he hurled 26 forkballs.
