Kyle Tucker cannot be blamed for the Astros' dissapointing start to the 2024 season. Through 43 games this year, the outfielder's 13 home runs lead the club, as do his 29 RBIs, and 1.000 OPS.
But despite the strong performance from Tucker, the Astros still lie several games out of a postseason spot, and despite putting together a recent five-game win streak, appear weaker than they have in some time. As such, Kyle Tucker is beginning to look like an attractive trade piece.
A 27 year-old who will become arbitration-eligible in 2025, Astros GM Dana Brown knows that Tucker's value is hitting a zenith. Today, we will be looking at some of the teams who might be bested suited to land Tucker in a trade.

Three possible trade destinations for Kyle Tucker
Boston Red Sox
The loss of outfielder Alex Verdugo has effected the Red Sox' offense more than many expected. Since inking with the New York Yankees, Verdugo has hit nearly half of his total number of home runs in all of 2023.

Currently, the Sox' outfield is made up of Willyer Abreu, Rob Refsnyder and Jarren Duran, who all appear to lack the power of Kyle Tucker. The price may include a variety of bullpen arms and draft picks, but the Red Sox could use Tucker, and could likely also afford him.
Philadelphia Phillies
In the 2022 World Series, Kyle Tucker went on a tear against the Philadelphia Phillies, hammering 2 home runs and 5 RBIs in six games as his team emerged victorious. However, with Bryce Harper's relocation to first base looking increasingly permanent, the need for a powerful outfielder is ever-stronger in Philly. Moreover, it was reported that Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski inquired about Tucker during the offseason.
San Francisco Giants
Coming into the season, the Giants' outfield trifecta of Carl Yastrzemski, Michael Conforto and Jung Hoo Lee was considered to be a top asset. However, over a month into the season, the trio has hit just .255.
Now 8.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West, many are expecting the Giants to make big splashes soon. As a team with one of the lowest home run totals in MLB, the need for someone in the lineup who can hit the ball like Kyle Tucker should be of top importance.
