Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker and his wife Samantha graced the blue carpet at the annual Cubs Convention. The event, held from Jan. 17 to 19, allowed Cubs fans an opportunity to see their favorite players up close.

The event was filled with interactive fan activities, including autograph and meet-and-greet sessions with players and coaches. But the biggest highlight was getting a chance to see the players and families grace the blue carpet as part of the festivities.

One of the players who dazzled was Kyle Tucker, who flashed a smile alongside his wife as they made their way to the main stage. Here’s a look at the shot:

The rally cry is one that fans will be chanting all year long as Kyle Tucker and his teammates look to get back into the World Series hunt. The Cubs ended their century-long World Series drought in 2016 and will look to add another title soon.

With Tucker playing in the outfield, the Cubs will have as good a chance as any this season to return to contention, making them a force in the AL Central.

The 38th annual Cubs Convention or “CubsCon” was held at the Sheraton Grand Chicago. The event-packed weekend featured numerous events, including autograph sessions, meet-and-greet, panel discussions, memorabilia auctions, exclusive events for season-ticket holders, Bingo games and other events.

The weekend is aimed at bringing fans and the Cubs organization closer together as part of the team’s community outreach. Most importantly, fans get to see their heroes up close. Current roster players attending the event included Kyle Tucker, Miguel Amaya, Matt Boyd, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Ian Happ and Nico Hoerner, among others.

Manager Craig Counsell headlined the coaching staff, with prospects and team alumni also in attendance. Alumni included Andre Dawson, Ryan Dempster, Shawon Dunston, Fergie Jenkins and Ryne Sandberg, along with a few other well-known former Cubs players.

The highlight of the event was the induction of the Cubs 2025 Hall of Fame class. Two names were added to the club’s exclusive list, outfielder Sammy Sosa and first baseman Derrek Lee. Sosa, in particular, was a somewhat surprising name, given the public rift between Sosa and the Cubs.

Lee’s powerful bat was part of the Cubs’ transition into contenders in the early 2000s. Lee won a Gold Glove while playing with the Cubs, playing one season with Sosa in 2004.

The event was a success with fans, providing the Cubs’ faithful with a taste of baseball in the middle of winter.
