Lance McCullers Jr. is a right-handed starting pitcher for the Houston Astros who is looking to make his return to the mound in 2025. McCullers is married to Kara Kilfoile, tying the knot back in 2015.
Since this is the time of year when Major League Baseball players can take time away from the sport, McCullers Jr. is getting to spend time with his wife, Kara, and daughter Isla.
On Tuesday, Kara McCullers shared some photos and videos on her Instagram page that show her young daughter Isla playing in the snow. Isla is the youngest daughter in the family as she recently turned one. Lance and Kara welcomed daughter Ava on New Year's Eve in 2019.
Isla is playing in the snow in one of the videos and she is being held by her mother in the other. The McCullers reside in the Houston area and they were treated to a rare snow storm.
McCullers Jr. has not pitched for the Houston Astros since the 2022 World Series but is working towards a comeback this season. McCullers has been dealing with a right arm injury and has had several setbacks on his road to recovery.

McCullers Jr. was not pitching with the Houston Astros during the 2024 season, but he remained with the team throughout the year. Kara McCullers was forced to raise the young family on her own for much of the season, but Lance was able to fit in some time for them as well.
During the 2024 MLB All-Star break in July, the McCullers were able to travel to Laguna Beach, California as a family of four. Kara McCullers shared several photos from their vacation on Instagram, and also added a caption,
"Golden state of mind 🌞😎 All-star break ✔️"
It might not feel like baseball weather in Houston in January, but the McCullers are taking full advantage of the rare snow. Lance McCullers Jr. will be looking to make an impact on the baseball diamond for the Astros in 2025.
