Lance McCullers Jr. is a starting pitcher for the Houston Astros and is married to Kara Kilfoile. The couple has been married since 2015 and welcomed their first child in 2019.
The MLB season is long, but McCullers Jr. has been able to spend some time with his family during the offseason. On Saturday, his wife posted photos of the couple attending a wedding on Instagram.
McCullers added captions to the photos in which she tagged her husband. One of the captions is simply a red lips emoji, while in another she calls her husband Lance her "4eva wedding date."
Kara McCullers wore a full-length wine-red dress, posing next to her husband. Meanwhile, Lance McCullers Jr. wore a tuxedo, capped with a black bow tie, for the occasion.
Lance McCullers Jr. has not pitched for the Houston Astros since the 2022 season but hopes to return to the mound in 2025. He was shut down last year after experiencing soreness in his right arm while trying to come back from surgery to repair his flexor tendon and remove a bone spur.
Lance McCullers Jr. and wife Kara enjoy Laguna Beach
Even though Lance McCullers Jr. couldn't pitch during the 2024 MLB season, he was still a member of the Houston Astros. There isn't much time to spend with his family during the season, but McCullers and his wife Kara managed to escape to Laguna Beach during the All-Star break.
Kara McCullers posted several photos from the family trip to Laguna Beach. The couple's two young children were also with them. Kara captioned the post:
"Golden state of mind. All-star break."
Lance McCullers Jr. got plenty of family time during the MLB offseason but will soon return to work. The Houston Astros will be looking for some great starts from the right-hander to get back to the top of the American League West Division.
