While Lance McCullers is working hard to get healthy for the 2025 baseball season in hopes and hopes to reclaim his spot in the Houston Astros' starting rotation, life has continued behind the scenes. Reports indicate he'll be available a few weeks into the regular season. In the meantime, he and his wife, Kara Kilfoile, whom he married in 2015, recently celebrated their daughters' birthdays with a "Sweetest Fairy" party.
Despite not throwing a single pitch since Houston won the World Series in 2022, Lance McCullers' family has grown since then. His oldest just turned five, while his youngest recently celebrated her first birthday. Kara recently took to Instagram to show a glimpse of the special day to her followers.

The quaint picture showed Lance holding the newest edition to the family, Isla Graye McCullers, while Kara held on to Ava Rae McCullers, who seemed to be having a fantastic time blowing out the wavy candles on the cake.
Sweetest Fairy 1st and 5th birthday for my fairy girlsssss 🧚🏻," said Kara McCullers in her IG caption.
It received a number of replies from other baseball players' wives. Ryne Stanek's wife Jessica had this to say:
"It was the sweetest day! Such a beautiful party for your angel girls."
While Maria, Astros' closer Josh Hader's wife, absolutely loved the fairytale-inspired picture, saying:
"Love this!! Omg 🧚🧚♀️"
Strong family support for Lance McCullers' return to bigs
Kara and Ava Rae were in attendance to support Lance McCullers when the Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies to win the World Series in six games a few years ago. With the team bowing out in the ALCS and wild-card round each of the last two seasons, the hope is that McCullers will play a role in helping the franchise take it a step further in the 2025 MLB season.

Now, two years removed from the surgery to help rectify the right flexor strain he suffered back in 2023, Lance McCullers will have even more family members in attendance should the Astros make a deep postseason run come October. Should it result in another World Series title, it would make a trio for the McCullers family.
