The Los Angeles Dodgers continue their battle against the Atlanta Braves as they take on Charlie Morton in Game 3 of their series at Truist Park. The Braves are in the playoff race and face a strong opponent with Walker Buehler on the mound as their starter.
Morton started by striking out Shohei Ohtani in his first three pitches. Morton retired Mookie Betts, walked Freddie Freeman, and took out Teoscar Hernadez. Dave Roberts and his team have surrendered 16 runs in the last two games while scoring only three in return.
The Boys in Blue have been in a slump with their offense in this series. Buehler started well by pitching hard, but a bases-loaded situation at the bottom of the third put the team in a crucial spot. Buehler forced in a run after giving up three walks in the third inning.
The Braves recorded another base hit to drive in their second run to extend their lead. Max Muncy got on base for the second time while Gavin Lux walked during the top of the fifth inning. Ohtani smashed a base hit and drove in Muncy to record the first run.
